Privacy Policy
Last updated: September 28, 2026
Pawthology ("the App," "we," "us," or "our") is developed and operated by C Trading. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect through the Pawthology mobile app, how we use and share it, and the choices you have. By using Pawthology, you agree to the practices described below.
1. Information We Collect
Account information. When you create a Pawthology account, we collect the email address and password you provide, used to authenticate you and keep your data in sync across devices.
Dog profile & behavior data. To provide Pawthology's core features, we collect the information you choose to enter, including:
- Your dog's profile details (such as name, breed, or age, if provided)
- Structured behavior logs created with the app's tap-based picker (behavior category, context/trigger, and intensity)
- Training plan progress and checklist completions
- Optional photos or videos you attach to a log entry for your own reference
App & diagnostic data. Pawthology is built with Expo, and may use Expo's infrastructure (EAS Update) to deliver app updates, and Expo's push notification service if you enable notifications. We do not currently use separate third-party analytics, advertising, or crash-reporting tools.
Information we do not collect. We do not collect your precise location, your device contacts, or any payment card details — purchases, if offered in the App, are processed directly by Apple or Google.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the information described above to:
- Create and maintain your account
- Interpret the behavior logs you submit and generate insights, patterns, and your Behavior Profile
- Generate personalised training plan suggestions
- Store your logs, dog profile, and any attached photos or videos so they're available across your sessions
- Maintain, secure, and improve the App
- Respond to your support requests and communicate with you about your account
3. How We Share Your Information
We do not sell your personal information. We share information only with the service providers that help us operate Pawthology, and only as described here:
- Supabase — our backend infrastructure provider. Supabase hosts account authentication, database records (behavior logs, dog profiles, training plans), and any photos or videos you attach to a log entry.
- Anthropic (Claude API) — the structured behavior tags you log (behavior category, context/trigger, intensity) are sent to Anthropic's Claude API to generate the behavior interpretation, pattern insights, and training suggestions shown in the App. Photos and videos you attach to logs are not sent to Anthropic; they're stored only for your own reference.
- Expo/EAS — used to deliver app updates and, if enabled, push notifications.
- Apple App Store / Google Play — if Pawthology offers in-app purchases or subscriptions, payment is processed directly by Apple or Google; we do not receive or store your payment details.
These providers are only permitted to use your information to perform services on our behalf. We may also disclose information if required by law, or as part of a merger, acquisition, or sale of business assets — in which case we'll notify you.
4. Data Retention
We retain your account information and behavior logs for as long as your account remains active, so Pawthology can continue surfacing patterns and training plans. If you request deletion (see below), we delete your personal data from our systems within a reasonable time, except where we're required to retain it by law.
5. Your Rights & Choices
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, export, or delete your personal information, and to object to or restrict certain processing.
- You can edit or delete individual behavior logs, dog profile details, and attached media directly within the App.
- To delete your entire account and associated data, email blake@ctrading.org with the subject "Delete My Account," from the email address on your account. We'll confirm and complete the deletion within a reasonable timeframe.
If you're in the European Economic Area, United Kingdom, or California, you may have additional rights under the GDPR, UK GDPR, or California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), including the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
6. Children's Privacy
Pawthology is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your jurisdiction), and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us at blake@ctrading.org and we'll delete it.
7. Data Security
We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your information, including encryption in transit and access controls on our backend infrastructure. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we can't guarantee absolute security.
8. International Data Transfers
Your information may be processed and stored outside your country of residence, including in the United States, where infrastructure operated by providers such as Supabase and Anthropic is located. By using the App, you consent to this transfer.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we'll update the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, notify you in the App. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
